Why go
Allow a leisurely day for Anacapri’s houses, collections and compact pedestrian centre. Villa San Michele deserves the longest visit: the rooms, archaeological fragments and garden belong together. Continue into town for Casa Rossa, where art and Roman objects offer another perspective on collecting, then pause at San Michele’s church. Its tiled floor is a reason to check interior access in advance; the church frontage remains part of the architectural walk. Piazza Boffe ends the route among vaulted white houses rather than at another museum. The walking legs are brief, making this a useful choice when you prefer substantial indoor visits to long coastal climbs.
