Why go
Keep the northern shore as the focus of a gentle-paced day rather than crossing the island between beach stops. Spiaggia di Marina Grande offers an easy first pause near the port, followed by Chiesa di San Costanzo’s white exterior behind the waterfront. Continue on foot to Spiaggia dei Bagni di Tiberio, where the shore and Roman remains give the final stop a different character. Allow longer for this last approach and retain energy for the return. The public shore and the paid bathing establishment are separate choices. Check sea conditions before swimming; a visit can still centre on the coast and its setting. This route does not depend on a seasonal boat service.
