Arriving and getting around Catania
Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, Catania Centrale and the nearby bus connections are the main arrival points to orient around. Once in the historic centre, many central sights work as a walk.
Planning the transfer first helps keep the compact centre simple. Piazza del Duomo, Via Etnea and Piazza Stesicoro can be linked on foot, while the airport and Catania Centrale require a separate transport decision. The Circumetnea is a distinct option for exploring towns on Etna's slopes, not a substitute for checking current mountain access.
