Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral
This cathedral on Charoen Prathet Road is the seat of Chiang Mai's Catholic diocese. Attend a service if appropriate, or confirm sightseeing access first.
Why go
The cathedral shows a different strand of Chiang Mai's religious life from its Buddhist temples. Its present building opened in 1999 after two earlier Sacred Heart churches, making the site a compact point of reference for the local Catholic community.
