Getting Around Corfu
Buses connect Corfu city with nearby areas and routes farther across the island, while a rental vehicle offers more flexibility. Narrow, hilly roads make route choice important.
Choose transport around the day you actually want. The city-focused blue bus network and island-focused green bus network serve different journeys, often with a change in Corfu city. A car can reach less direct destinations, but winding roads and varying vehicle terms deserve attention before setting off.
Useful to know
Check current blue and green bus timetables and the return journey before committing to a distant stop.
For a rental vehicle, inspect its condition and insurance terms, then allow time for narrow, winding hill roads.
If combining two outlying sights, compare the road route with the bus connections through Corfu city.
