Vlacherna Monastery
Vlacherna is a small seventeenth-century monastery on an islet beside Kanoni. A short causeway makes it an easy architectural stop at the lagoon’s edge.
Why go
Walking the causeway brings you close to the monastery and its lagoon setting. The visit is brief but gives a different perspective from the Kanoni viewpoint. Pontikonisi lies farther out and needs a boat crossing, so allow separate time if you want to see both islets.
