Why go
The Lloret–Fenals path offers a concentrated stretch of coast with changing ground and clear landmarks, including Dona Marinera and Cala Banys. The GR92 alternatives suit a more substantial walk between towns. Decide between a coastal outing and a longer journey before committing to the trail.
The full story
From the end of Lloret’s seafront promenade, the coastal path passes Es Racó de Garbí and Sa Caravera before steps lead onto the rocky shoreline. Dona Marinera marks another stage, followed by a descent to Cala Banys, where reefs interrupt the water beside the cove. A pine grove leads towards Fenals point and the Castle of Sant Joan. From the watchtower area, further steps descend towards Plaça Sisquella and the Fenals promenade. The repeated climbs and descents are part of this walk’s character; it is more varied than simply following a level beach promenade. The GR92 continues over much greater distances: the Tossa–Cala Canyelles–Lloret section is about 13 km, while the Lloret–Blanes–Tordera section is about 14.5 km. Treat these as separate walking commitments and check the route and return connection before setting out.
