Why go
Plan Torrox as two linked areas rather than one walkable centre. The A-7 and N-340 are the main road corridors, and the coast includes Torrox Costa and El Morche. Local and interurban buses have served these places, but their lines and frequency may change; verify the journey before setting out.
The full story
Málaga Airport and Málaga-María Zambrano station are the main air and rail gateways for Torrox. From there, the last leg is a road journey into the Axarquía. The Mediterranean motorway and the N-340 provide the principal road approaches. Within the municipality, Torrox Pueblo lies inland while Torrox Costa and El Morche sit along the shore. A plan that includes both town streets and the coast therefore needs a transfer, not just a longer promenade. Local buses have linked these districts and Torrox Park, while an interurban service has linked Torrox with Málaga. Route numbers, service days and stops can change; check current operator information. If your day hinges on a particular connection, confirm the outbound and return trips before choosing which part of Torrox to visit first. For a coast-only stop, stay within the coastal districts; for the historic pueblo, allow for the inland leg.
Useful to know
- Check current operator timetables and stop locations for both the outward and return bus journey.
- Allow a separate transfer if your plan includes Torrox Pueblo and Torrox Costa.
