Castillo de Gibralfaro
Gibralfaro is the higher of Málaga’s two historic fortresses, with a rampart walk and a wide outlook over the port. The uphill approach is part of the effort.

Come here for the scale of Málaga from above: the port, bullring and old centre unfold below the defensive walls. The castle is a separate hilltop visit from the Alcazaba, so allow for the climb or arrange transport uphill. The long wall walk rewards a clear day more than a rushed stop.
