Emmakerk
Emmakerk’s square bell tower and curved entrance canopy reveal a twentieth-century layer of Curaçao’s religious architecture. It offers an exterior stop north of Schottegat.
Built for the Protestant community in the period of Shell’s expansion, the church brings a different scale and style from Punda’s colonial sanctuaries. Look at the tower, canopy and window arrangement from outside. The active congregation welcomes visitors, while attending worship requires checking its separate service schedule rather than assuming unrestricted interior access.
