Prague Castle
Prague Castle is a hilltop complex of courtyards, historic buildings and royal institutions above the Vltava. Its scale makes it a substantial visit rather than a quick photograph.
The castle brings centuries of Czech rulership together in one walkable complex. Its courtyards provide a broad introduction, while buildings such as St. Vitus Cathedral offer separate, more focused visits. The contrast between public spaces, religious architecture and royal history gives each part of the complex a different perspective on Prague.
Useful to know
Plan the cathedral as one part of the larger castle complex; its entry arrangements may differ from the open courtyards.
