Velehrad Basilica
Velehrad's Baroque basilica stands on Romanesque foundations beside former Cistercian buildings. The pilgrimage complex also includes a lapidarium and catacombs.
The Basilica of the Assumption and Sts. Cyril and Methodius is central to Velehrad's religious significance. Look beyond the main church if access permits: VisitCzechia identifies a lapidarium and catacombs with remains from the earlier Cistercian church. Check those spaces separately, since their visit differs from simply entering the basilica.
