Finding your way through Union Station
Union Station links its historic hall to rail platforms, an underground bus concourse and a light rail stop farther west. Knowing that layout makes a transfer much easier.
The building is only one part of the transit site. Trains use the open-air hall behind it, while the bus concourse runs below 17th Street toward the light rail platforms. A short look at the whole arrangement explains why two services marked Union Station can feel several blocks apart.
What to look for
The open-air train hall stands behind the historic terminal.
Bus platforms sit underground along 17th Street.
Wynkoop Plaza forms the street-facing approach to the old station.
Useful to know
For a rail-to-bus connection, follow signs down to the bus concourse from the train hall or terminal area.
Allow walking time between the historic building and the light rail stop west of the train hall.
