Rides and learning spaces at Denver Zoo

Why go

The carousel’s carved endangered animals echo the real species nearby, while the Pioneer Train has run around a landscaped meadow. Education and presentation spaces add another way to engage with wildlife. These features make most sense after choosing the animal habitats you care about, because their operation and programs can vary.

Useful to know

• Check the current zoo map and daily schedule for rides and presentations before promising them to children.
• Use a ride or presentation as a break during the larger outdoor walk, if offered that day.
