Florida Historic Capitol Museum
Florida’s restored Historic Capitol in Tallahassee interprets government history within historic chambers. Its historic rooms give the museum’s political-history interpretation a concrete architectural setting rather than a purely textual presentation.
The rooms make political history spatial: you can relate the interpretation to the building where government once operated. It is a historical museum visit with an architectural setting. The relationship between the restored chambers and their interpretation helps visitors place historical decisions within a building, adding another perspective to a visit to Florida’s capital.
