St. Augustine Light
St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum combines a historic tower with exhibits about the port’s maritime past. The maritime exhibits provide a worthwhile visit alongside the optional physical challenge and outlook of a tower climb.
The outlook is only one part of the attraction. Maritime archaeology, conservation and the light station’s history give visitors reasons to stay even if they decide against a tower climb. The museum’s work with shipwrecks and maritime heritage helps connect the lighthouse to the broader life of the port, giving the tower a historical setting.
