The Dalí Museum
The Dalí Museum brings the artist’s work together in a distinctive waterfront building in St. Petersburg. The galleries offer a concentrated artistic focus, while the exterior introduces a separate experience of museum architecture.
A concentrated encounter with one artist makes it possible to compare recurring images and ideas across works. The building adds a contrasting architectural experience to the gallery visit. Looking across several works allows repeated subjects and visual devices to emerge, giving visitors a fuller encounter with Dalí than seeking only one familiar image.
