Château de Chambord
Chambord is a monumental Renaissance château in the eastern Loire landscape. The staircase and terraces make a strong architectural visit; its estate can extend the day.
Chambord makes royal ambition visible in stone: a vast plan, elaborate roofscape and a staircase designed for movement and spectacle. The château differs from the more domestic scale at Chenonceau. Its forest and gardens add an outdoor choice, so decide how much of the estate to include.
