Why go

Walk beside the Baie des Anges, then turn into Vieux Nice to trade the open seafront for dense old streets. The Promenade des Anglais recalls the winter visitors who helped shape Nice as a resort. The old town and port reveal a city with a longer Mediterranean history than its beach image suggests.
