Why go
This compact walk suits a first morning on San Cristóbal when you want some context before heading outdoors. Start at the Interpretation Center, where natural history and human settlement share the story. Continue toward Cerro Tijeretas and take the steps steadily; the exposed hill trail deserves more time than its short distance suggests. Finish at Punta Carola Beach with an unhurried beach visit and room for a break. All three stops matter to the route, but swimming is a separate choice that depends on conditions. Leave resting sea lions space and keep their access to the water clear.
