Playa Baquerizo suits visitors who want a longer rough-ground coastal walk beyond the usual Tijeretas circuit. The beach is the endpoint, but the lava terrain and changing shoreline are much of the experience. Leave enough time and water for the return journey rather than treating it as a quick detour.
What to look for
A remote beach lies beyond the Tijeretas headland
Lava terrain separates the shore from the town trails
Useful to know
Continue only on the marked rough coastal trail beyond Cerro Tijeretas.
Carry water and allow a substantial out-and-back walk; do not confuse this beach with Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
