Why go
This ambitious urban route follows Geneva's cultural institutions from the Old Town edge into active neighborhoods. Place de Neuve, Parc des Bastions and the Reformation Wall form the coherent central spine; Plainpalais and Pâquis then reveal less formal city life. Choose the Reformation Museum, a public library exhibition or a Grand Théâtre programme as one confirmed interior anchor. Keeping the remaining institutions optional prevents the day from becoming a rushed list of façades.

Parc des Bastions
The central park combines a shaded promenade, giant chessboards and the Reformation Wall below the Old Town. University façades line one edge, while tree-covered paths provide a calm approach to the Reformation monument.

Reformation Wall
Giant figures of Calvin, Farel, Beza and Knox stand above bas-reliefs and Geneva's Post Tenebras Lux motto. Bas-reliefs and inscriptions widen the story beyond the four central figures to political events and allied reformers.

Plaine de Plainpalais
The broad diamond-shaped square changes character with markets, fairs and public events and anchors the Plainpalais district. The flea market is the most distinctive use for visitors, but the square can feel sparse when no market or event is running.

International Museum of the Reformation
