Why go
Begin with San Donato and San Torpete in the historic center, checking locally which interiors are open. Continue toward the Oratory of San Giacomo della Marina if a guided opening is available. Travel separately to Staglieno and make Staglieno the main afternoon anchor for its arcades and hillside galleries. The former station, university and stadium stops do not belong in the finished route. This sequence preserves the legacy's interest in less obvious monuments while giving the cemetery enough time to justify the transfer.
