Glacier has no single entrance that serves every valley. West Glacier leads naturally to Apgar and Lake McDonald, while separate roads reach Many Glacier, Two Medicine, and the North Fork. Planning the arrival around the first park sector avoids wasting a large part of the day backtracking.
