Snapper Rocks
Snapper Rocks is a rocky point at the southern end of Rainbow Bay and the start of the Superbank surf break. Come to watch waves and surfers.
Why go
The point is a specific surf-watching location rather than another general beach. Waves can run along the Rainbow Bay–Kirra coast in favorable conditions, and the rocky edge gives a close view. Keep back from wave-washed surfaces, especially when swell is up.

Useful to know
Stay clear of wave-washed rocks and assess swell before approaching the edge.
