Why go
This walking route suits visitors who enjoy looking closely at objects and images rather than moving through many neighborhoods. Begin at Röhsska Museum with its design and decorative arts collections, then walk towards Götaplatsen for Poseidon and the buildings around the square. The Museum of Art provides the main afternoon visit, with works spanning several centuries. Hasselblad Center adds a separate photography programme within the same building and is optional. Leave it out if two substantial museums are enough, or shorten the art museum visit to give the photography exhibition proper attention. Check exhibition opening days before choosing your date.
