Lilla Bommen Tower
The Lilla Bommen office tower, known as the Lipstick, is a waterfront architecture stop. Its value lies in recognising a distinctive piece of Gothenburg’s skyline from the quay.

Ralph Erskine designed the tower with White Architects in the late 1980s, giving the waterfront a conspicuous postmodern landmark. Completed in 1989, it presents a sharp contrast to the older buildings elsewhere in central Gothenburg. Treat it as a building to observe within its harbour setting rather than planning an interior attraction.
What to look for
The 86-metre tower is a prominent waterfront landmark.
Useful to know
Make the exterior the focus of a waterfront walk; do not rely on a public rooftop visit.
