Puerta de Elvira
Puerta de Elvira is a surviving gate of medieval Granada near Plaza del Triunfo. It is a short exterior stop that helps explain the old city's edge.
Why go
The gate once served as a main approach to Granada's medina. Its broad horseshoe arch and flanking masonry make the former entrance tangible in the present street scene. It pairs naturally with a walk toward the Albaicín, where other walls and gates continue the story.
What to look for
The large horseshoe arch marks the historic passage into the city.
Towers and surviving wall sections frame the gateway.
Useful to know
See it from the street near Plaza del Triunfo, then continue toward the Albaicín's surviving walls.
