Archaeological Site of Ancient Corinth
Ancient Corinth offers an accessible excavated townscape beneath the standing archaic temple columns. The excavated streets show more than the familiar temple silhouette alone.
The Temple of Apollo anchors an ancient city whose excavated streets and forum cover a much larger area. Walk the site with the museum as a separate context stop, then relate what survives to the later Roman city. The excavation is open to sun and weather, unlike the museum galleries.
What to look for
Trace the forum area around the Temple of Apollo.
Useful to know
Use the Ancient Corinth archaeological-site entrance rather than Acrocorinth; they are distinct visits requiring a transfer.
