Chania Lighthouse
Chania’s lighthouse is best approached along the exposed harbour breakwater for a view back across the old port. The breakwater is exposed to wind and spray, especially outside calm conditions.
The lighthouse marks the outer edge of Chania’s Venetian harbour and changes how the old port looks as you approach it along the mole. This is an exterior viewpoint and harbour walk, not an assumed tower interior. Sea spray, waves or wind can affect comfort and access to the exposed path.
What to look for
Frame the Venetian waterfront from the end of the mole.

Walk the public harbour mole only when conditions are safe; do not plan tower entry and turn back if waves reach the path.
