Archaeological Museum of Rhodes
The Archaeological Museum of Rhodes occupies the former Hospital of the Knights. Its courtyard and island antiquities offer an indoor counterpart to the medieval streets outside.
Why go
The building is part of the reason to visit: a medieval hospital now holds finds from Ialissos, Kameiros and elsewhere on Rhodes. Statues and courtyard mosaics connect the island’s ancient history with a later layer of architecture in one place.
What to look for
Former Hospital of the Knights building
Statues and finds from Ialissos and Kameiros
Courtyard mosaics from Hellenistic villas
Useful to know
Use the museum’s current seasonal timetable; some wings have separate hours.
