Chisuji Falls
A low, broad waterfall in Kowakudani where many fine streams run down a mossy rock face, reached by a short wooded walk.
Why go
Go for the unusual shape of the falls: water spreads across a wide rock wall instead of plunging from a tall cliff. The quiet path adds a natural pause between Kowakudani attractions. Allow time for wet ground and changing water flow, which can alter the experience considerably after rain.
What to look for
Many narrow streams across the rock face
Wooded approach through Kowakudani
Useful to know
Wear shoes suited to a damp path; check local trail conditions after heavy rain.
