Sōun-ji Temple
A working Zen temple in Hakone-Yumoto with Hōjō family graves and a restrained garden; visitors may enter the grounds, while buildings remain restricted.
Come for a quieter piece of Hakone history within walking distance of the station. The Hōjō graves and temple setting give context to the town beyond its hot springs. Keep the visit respectful and plan around the grounds access window; the main hall is not generally open.
