Getting to Halifax
Halifax Stanfield International Airport lies north of the city, so flying means planning an onward journey. Rail and interregional bus arrivals bring different connections and baggage considerations.
Compare the whole journey to your Halifax address before choosing transport. The airport sits roughly 35 kilometres from the city, while the railway station is on Hollis Street in the south end. Drivers approaching from Truro use Highway 102, which connects with the Trans-Canada Highway at Highway 104.
Useful to know
Compare the airport bus with a taxi for your destination and luggage; check Halifax Transit for the current route and timetable.
Check VIA Rail and Maritime Bus directly for dates, connections and arrival points before arranging an onward journey.
If changing buses at Dartmouth’s Bridge Terminal, check the connection to your Halifax address before leaving the airport.
