Shearwater Aviation Museum
Explore naval aviation at Shearwater through aircraft and related displays, a specialist museum visit on the eastern side of Halifax Harbour beyond the downtown circuit.
The museum explains a strand of maritime history that ship-focused attractions only partly cover. Aircraft reveal the equipment, scale and changing demands of aviation at sea, while supporting displays place the machines in service context. It suits visitors who want to look closely at particular aircraft rather than collect a quick photo, and travel should be planned as a separate shore excursion.
