Turtle Tower
Turtle Tower stands on a small islet in Hoan Kiem Lake. Its best views come from the shore, where trees and water frame the city's familiar landmark.
Why go
The tower is a visual anchor for the lake and its restored-sword legend, rather than an interior destination. Walking to different shore viewpoints changes its backdrop and reveals how the lake organizes the surrounding streets. It belongs naturally in a lakeside loop before moving on to the nearby bridge and temple.
What to look for
The tower stands alone on an islet, framed by trees and the changing lakeshore.
Useful to know
View it from the shore; the islet is not an ordinary visitor entrance.
