Why go
This route is for visitors who want both major history collections and time outdoors. Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica is an exterior stop during restoration, while nearby Saigon Central Post Office rewards a look inside its vaulted hall. Allow a slower, reflective visit at the War Remnants Museum before moving northeast to the Ho Chi Minh City History Museum. Saigon Zoo & Botanical Gardens makes a spacious finish. The garden stop is optional if the two museums have taken most of your energy or rain makes the paths less appealing. The longer museum visits give the day substance without turning each landmark into a quick photograph.
