Cattle Depot Artist Village
A former cattle depot in Ma Tau Kok now houses artists and arts organisations. Go for the surviving industrial buildings; exhibitions and studio access depend on individual occupants.

The compound began as a cattle quarantine and slaughter depot in 1908 and was adapted for artists in 2001. Its red-brick buildings and tiled roofs let you examine an older working landscape within Kowloon. The change of use is the main interest, with artistic activity adding another layer when events are available.
