Why go
This Lauterbrunnen outing suits visitors who want the valley’s two most different waterfall experiences at a measured pace. Start at the station and walk through the village beneath the cliffs. Continue to Staubbach Falls for the open-air view and, when its seasonal gallery is accessible, a closer look at the spray. From the nearby valley bus route, continue to Trümmelbach Falls, where a lift and steps lead among cascades inside the mountain. The bus keeps the longer valley section from becoming a road walk. Check current access before setting out; Trümmelbach’s wet steps require good footwear, and it is unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
