Why go
Begin at the Underwater Observatory Marine Park to identify Gulf of Aqaba species without entering the water. Continue a short distance to Coral Beach Nature Reserve for snorkeling or reef observation from the marked access points. After lunch, drive north to Timna Valley and select a compact circuit among the copper-mining remains and sandstone formations. The reef depends on sea conditions and Timna is exposed to heat, so reverse or shorten the sequence when weather demands it. Families may spend longer at the observatory and treat Coral Beach as optional.
