Valley of the Temples
Agrigento's archaeological park strings major Greek temples along an open ridge; it takes a long walk and offers little protection from harsh weather.
Why go
The preserved columns of Concordia stand against a broad landscape, while other temple remains show different states of survival. Moving between them gives a sense of the ancient city's scale. The ticketed park is a distinct visit outside central Agrigento, best paced as an outdoor archaeological route.
