Using Jakarta’s Trains
Commuter trains connect Jakarta with surrounding cities, making rail worth considering for longer journeys. Start with the correct station and current route map, rather than a street address alone.
Rail gives you an alternative to spending a whole transfer in road traffic. The commuter network reaches places such as Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi, while Jakarta Kota is a useful station name to recognise within the city. Check the connection for your particular destination; commuter trains and intercity departures require separate planning.
