Hotel Indonesia
Overlooking Bundaran HI, this heritage hotel connects Jakarta’s modern skyline with the ambitions of the 1962 Asian Games. Dining gives non-residents a reason to enter.
President Soekarno inaugurated Hotel Indonesia on 5 August 1962 as Jakarta prepared to host the Asian Games. Designed with architect Abel Sorensen, it became a city landmark and gave the roundabout its name. Its location beside Grand Indonesia makes the hotel an easy historical reference during a central-city outing.
