Ragunan Zoo
Ragunan combines Indonesian wildlife, primates and extensive tropical grounds in South Jakarta. It is a family outing with outdoor walking between animal areas.
The Schmutzer Primate Centre gives the visit a distinct focus on orangutans, gorillas and other primates. Bird collections and other Indonesian wildlife broaden the day, while lakes and picnic areas provide breaks from the enclosures. The zoo began in 1864 and moved to its present Pasar Minggu site in 1966.
