Tokyo Skytree

Tokyo Skytree rises above the Sumida area with observation decks that reveal the capital’s sprawling urban fabric, pairing elevated panoramas with the shops and restaurants of its base complex.

Tokyo Skytree

Why go

Go when visibility is good and you want to understand Tokyo’s scale rather than identify only one landmark. The two observation levels offer different perspectives on the city below. A visit can fit after Asakusa, but the tower is a timed attraction, so book around the weather and leave a buffer for reaching the entrance.

What to look for

  • Tembo Deck city panoramas
  • The higher Tembo Galleria
  • The tower and Tokyo Solamachi complex at ground level

Useful to know

  • Compare deck combinations before buying your ticket.
  • Check visibility forecasts before choosing an observation time.
  • Leave time to locate the observation entrance within the large base complex.
