Ko Taen
Ko Taen is a small island south of Samui with reef-fringed water, a mangrove walk and an eastern beach. Reaching it turns a beach stop into a boat outing.
The reef and mangroves give Ko Taen more variety than a simple offshore swim stop. Set aside enough time to see the island as well as its surrounding water, and decide whether walking or snorkeling is the priority. The boat crossing makes this a separate excursion from a drive around Samui.
