Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre
KLPAC is a non-profit theatre complex in Sentul Park, combining performances and training spaces with a converted railway-workshop building that carries much of the site’s character.
Why go
The centre supports theatre, music, film, workshops and classes rather than a single performance style. Its reused industrial shell adds a second reason to go: the former Sentul railway workshop was rebuilt with a glass-fronted entrance, linking Kuala Lumpur’s transport history to its contemporary arts scene.
What to look for
A former railway workshop adapted as a performing-arts centre
Pentas 1 for proscenium productions and the flexible Pentas 2 black-box theatre
A glass-fronted entrance and walkway set within Sentul Park
Useful to know
Select a performance, screening or workshop before travelling to Sentul Park.
Confirm which auditorium hosts your event, since the centre contains several distinct spaces.
Arrive early enough to see the converted railway building before the program begins.
