Planetarium Negara
Malaysia’s hilltop national planetarium combines space-science exhibits, a domed theatre and an observatory, making it a compact educational stop within the Perdana Botanical Gardens cluster.
Why go
The strongest reason to visit is the link between global space science and Malaysia’s own program. A permanent display includes an Ariane IV engine associated with the launch of MEASAT-1, while the blue-domed building, theatre and telescope turn the visit into more than a conventional gallery circuit.
What to look for
An Ariane IV engine connected with the launch of Malaysia’s first satellite, MEASAT-1
A space theatre inside the planetarium’s blue-domed hilltop building
An observatory equipped with a 14-inch telescope
Useful to know
Check the current show program before visiting if the theatre is your priority.
Use the pedestrian connection toward Muzium Negara to combine the two institutions.
Leave time for the outdoor observatory replicas as well as the indoor exhibits.
