Why go
The park protects the upper reaches of the Bernam, Selangor, Klang and Langat river systems, tying its forests directly to water supply and flood control downstream. Recreation, education and field research share the landscape, but each access point offers a different experience and level of preparation.
What to look for
- Forested catchments feeding the Bernam, Selangor, Klang and Langat river systems
- Steep highland terrain whose vegetation reduces erosion and downstream flooding
- Research and recreation sites spread across a large protected landscape
Useful to know
- Choose a named entrance or recreation area before travelling; there is no single park-wide arrival point.
- Check access rules and conditions for the specific trail, forest or activity you plan to use.
- Treat steep terrain and changing forest conditions as central planning constraints.
