Skunk Harbor
Skunk Harbor combines a wooded walk down a gated road with a lakeside cove. Historic stone structures add interest, while the return uphill makes this more than a brief beach stop.

Keep exploring Lake Tahoe with our travel partners.
The approach gradually separates the shoreline from Highway 28, giving the visit a walking component as well as time by the water. Stone buildings remain near the beach. Public National Forest land adjoins Washoe Tribal land, so stay within established public access rather than exploring adjoining property.
